Tata Motors will soon be launching the Altroz EV in India, reportedly with two battery packs- a standard and a long range. Tata Motors currently sells the Nexon EV in India, which is the best selling four-wheeler EV in the country. The new powertrain will give 25-40% more range than the normal battery pack, which translates to better performance, and most importantly, better electric range. Tata could first launch the Altroz EV with a long range battery, followed by the Nexon EV. The Altroz EV was first showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo, and could be launched in India at around Rs.10-12 lakh.
