Porsche 911 GT2 RS shatters the Nurburgring Lap Record
Porsche has set a new world record for the fastest road car in the world on the Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit. Lars Kern, Porsche’s development driver drove the 700 PS 911 GT2 RS, fitted with the Manthey Performance Kit. The car did a 20.8km lap in just 6:43:300 minutes, beating the previous 6:48:047 minute record. As part of the Manthey Performace kit, the 911 was fitted with light magnesium alloy wheels and the kit also includes different chassis, aerodynamic, and brake components.
