Mahindra to enter EV space in India with the eXUV300 in 2023
Mahindra will enter the EV space in India, currently dominated by Tata Motors, MG, and Hyundai, with the eXUV300 in 2023. The brand will focus on electric cars starting 2023, as it feels that India is not ready for EVs yet. Interestingly, Mahindra was the very first Indian brand to launch an electric car- the e2O, which was way ahead of its time. Mahindra plans to launch EVs derived from its existing portfolio and will launch a new electric vehicle later in the future. Once launched, the eXUV300 will compete with the Tata Nexon EV, which is currently the best-selling electric vehicle in India.
