Mahindra Thar AX relaunched as the new base variant in the range
Mahindra has relaunched the AX variant in the Thar range, which was discontinued last year. The AX will now be the base variant of the Thar, starting at ₹10.68 lakh for the Petrol MT 6-seater soft-top variant, and ₹11.53 lakh for the diesel variant. The Thar AX was discontinued before the Global NCAP Safety rating test of the SUV. As a result, Thar 4-seater with front-facing rear seats was tested. The Thar could lose its 4-start safety rating if the base AX with side-facing seats is re-tested.
