Fiat has confirmed that a new small hatchback, successor to the Punto, will be arriving in 2023. The car will be built on the CMP (Common Modular Platform) architecture, which is also used by Opel and Citroen models. Just like the recently unveiled Astra hatchback, the new Fiat Punto could be powered by a hybrid powertrain. A fully electric version of the car is expected to follow later. Fiat currently has no plans of bringing the Punto hatchback to India.
