Car brands that were once present in India
Car manufacturers face poor sales due to a lack of innovation in models and absurd pricing
The Indian automotive market is booming with manufacturers trying to establish their dominance in any segment possible. Many brands have entered the Indian market in a span of 2-3 years like MG Motors, Kia Motors, and Citroen. But there are some brands that were once popular which exited the Indian market because of poor sales. This includes Opel which was present in India in the early 2000’s. Fiat had a good line-up in India which included the Punto and the Linea but eventually lost its market share due to lack of updates. Chevrolet has also exited the Indian market, which once dominated the market with the Beat, Spark, Cruze, and the Tavera .
