Volvo XC40 Recharge launch postponed due to chip-shortage
While the petrol variants of the S90 and XC60 are still on the cards, the launch of the electric version of XC40, the XC40 Recharge has been postponed due to a semiconductor chip shortage. Pre-bookings for the car were expected to start in June. As for the powertrain, the car uses two 150kW electric motors mounted on the front and rear axles, with an output of 408bhp and 660Nm of peak torque. The car is claimed to have a 0-100kmph time of 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 180kmph. The car has a range of 418km.
