Mustang Mach-E sets new EV efficiency record

The Ford Mustang Mach-E becomes a Guinness World Record holder for electric car efficiency, with 10.5km per kWh on a 1,352km journey between John o’ Groats and Land’s End. The 27-hour long trip was completed by BBC transport’s correspondent Paul Clifton, Fergal McGrath, and Kevin Brooker, with an average speed of 50kmph. The car used was a rear-wheel drive, extended-range version of the Mustang Mach-E with an 88kWh battery. The team made two charging stops, with a 45 minute total charging time
