Mercedes to have an all-electric line-up by 2030

Mercedes Benz has announced its plans to go all-electric by 2030. The marque has announced that it will introduce battery electric vehicles (BEV) across all segments starting 2022. Mercedes will be investing €40 Billion between 2022 to 2030 to speed up its shift towards Electric vehicles. The brand plans to develop three EV-specific platforms- AMG.EA, MB.EA and VAN.EA for regular models, AMG models, and vans respectively. Further, Mercedes will set up 8 Gigafactories for cell production and 9 factories for battery systems.
