Maruti Suzuki to relaunch diesel cars in 2022
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) is planning to introduce a 1.5-liter diesel engine in the Indian market. The manufacturer could launch the Ertiga/XL-6 with a diesel engine in January 2022, followed by the Vitara Brezza. Maruti Suzuki has only petrol models on sale currently, after discontinuing its 1.3-liter diesel engine in its cars in April 2020, with the effect of the BS-6 norms.
