Maruti Suzuki has achieved a new sales milestone with its C-segment sedan Ciaz. The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz which was launched in 2014, has achieved a sales milestone of 3 lakh cars. Maruti Suzuki introduced the Ciaz through its Arena showroom when it was first launched in 2014, but later sold it through its premium Nexa dealerships when the first facelift was introduced.

Maruti Suzuki launched the Ciaz in India with both petrol and diesel engines, but with the BS-6 norms, Maruti Suzuki discontinued the diesel engine for the Ciaz. The Ciaz comes with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with Maruti Suzuki’s mild hybrid system, which generates 102hp, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed torque converter automatic. The Ciaz offers an ARAI claimed mileage of 20.4km/l.

The Ciaz remains one of the most affordable C segment sedans in the market. While other cars in the segment offer features like ventilated seats, wireless charger, blind-spot detection camera to name a few, the Ciaz offers only the necessities like a 7” touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, Colored TFT multi-information display, rearview parking camera, and cruise control. Being one of the longest cars in its segment, the Ciaz offers plenty of interior space.

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz starts at Rs.8.60 lakh for the base Sigma variant and goes all the way up to Rs.11.59 lakh for the top-spec Alpha automatic variant.
