Italian Grand Prix conclusions: Ominous Max, Ferrari’s new ‘redprint’, Hamilton’s clumsiness

The Reigning World Champion Max Verstappen set a new record by claiming his 10th F1 victory in a row at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

The Red Bull driver took another step closer to his third consecutive title and was joined on the podium by team-mate Sergio Perez, who completed Red Bull’s sixth one-two finish of 2023, and Carlos Sainz, who secured his first podium of the season after setting pole position for Ferrari’s home race.

Here are our conclusions from Monza…

With Max Verstappen claiming his 10th consecutive win at Monza he seems to be unstoppable; He has now generated a massive gap of 145 points over his teammate Sergio Perez who is second in the driver’s championship. However, Mercedes’ and Ferrari’s optimism about the title challenge in 2024, the truth remains that a single, lucky win would be something of an achievement for these teams given the current state of play. Gradually, many are coming to the realization that Red Bull will not be caught until 2026.

Ferrari getting themselves ahead of Aston martin placing third in the constructor's championship. Now, Vasseur is treating every other race like Monza. Call it Fred’s “RedPrint”.
