Indian brand sales figures in August 2021
Maruti Suzuki remained at the top spot with 1,03,187 units
As another month passes by, car manufacturers register growth in sales numbers after the lockdown and global semiconductor chip shortage. Many new launches happened in the month of July, like the Honda Amaze facelift, Tata Tiago NRG, and the MG Hector Shine variant.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) achieved the top spot in the sales chart, with 1,03,187 units. The Baleno was the highest selling car in the country for the month of August, with 15,646 units, followed by Alto and Vitara Brezza from the Maruti Suzuki stable.
Hyundai was at the second spot with a total of 46,866 units sold for the month of August, with the Creta being the best-selling car for the Korean brand.
Tata Motors has shown YOY growth and was at the third spot at 28,017 units. The Tata Nexon was able to beat its competition except for the Vitara Brezza, to be the highest selling Tata car with 10,006 units sold in August.
