Hyundai has become the world’s largest Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) manufacturer, beating Toyota. The reason behind this is the Hyundai Nexo facelift, which was introduced in January 2021, and has helped the Korean marque achieve this position. The Nexo sold a total of 4,700 units in H1 2021, compared to Toyota Mirai’s 3,700 units. Hyundai currently holds a 51.7% market share In Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles. Toyota comes in second with the Mirai while Honda comes in third with the Clarity.
