Hyundai launched its Creta-based 3-row SUV Alcazar in India on 18 June. Since its launch, Hyundai has bagged over 12,000 bookings for the Alcazar. Out of these, 4000 bookings were made just 10 days after the launch of the Alcazar, while 1000 bookings were made in the last 5 days. The Alcazar is basically a 3-row, 6/7 seater version of the Creta. It is available with a choice of a 1.5-liter diesel engine or a 2.0-liter petrol engine. The Alcazar competes with the Tata Safari and MG Hector in the Indian market.
