Honda City Hybrid to arrive in India in mid-2022

Honda Cars India has confirmed that the City Hybrid will arrive in India in mid-2022. The City Hybrid was expected to be launched in India in 2021, but the launch of the car was delayed due to Covid-19. The Hybrid powertrain will include the 1.5-litre petrol engine, coupled with two electric motors. One out of the two motors will act as an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and the other will send power to the wheels, 109bhp and 253Nm of peak torque. The City Hybrid will get three driving modes- one which runs on electric motors alone, one which runs on the petrol engine, and the third will be the hybrid mode. The City Hybrid is expected to provide better performance and efficiency.
