Ford confirms Mustang Mach-E for India
Ford will continue selling CBU models in India
Ford India recently announced that the American brand will stop its manufacturing operation in India, and will limit its line-up to CBU models only. Ford has now confirmed that it will bring its Mustang Mach-E all-electric car in India, alongside the Mustang GT.
What happens to Ford dealerships in India?
With the arrival of Mustang Mach-E and Mustang GT in India, Ford will continue its India operations with a smaller dealer network, which will sell existing Ford models too till the stocks last. Ford will, however, continue its after-sales service, warranty coverage, and customer support in India without any changes.
Ford Mustang Mach-E powertrain
The Ford Mustang Mach-E is available in two models internationally- standard range and extended range. The Standard range Mustang Mach-E comes with a 68kWh battery, generating 270hp and 430Nm (RWD) and 580Nm (eAWD). The Extended range Mach-E gets an 88kWh battery pack, making 290hp and 430Nm for the RWD variant, and 346hp and 580Nm for the eAWD variant. In case these figures are not enough, the Ford Mustang Mach-E gets a GT variant, making 480hp and 814Nm (GT)/860Nm (GT Performance).
