Force Gurkha to be launched in India on 27 September 2021
The Force Gurkha competes with the Mahindra Thar in the Indian market
Force Motors has revealed the next generation Gurkha off-roader for the Indian market. The brand will launch the car in India on 27 September 2021, while the deliveries will start on October 15, on the occasion of Dussehra. The Gurkha impresses with its off-roading capabilities, with a 2.6-liter diesel engine making 90hp and 260Nm of torque, and locking front and rear differential.
In terms of design, the new generation model takes inspiration from the G-Wagon, with round headlamps with LED DRLs, and a tall stance. It gets more glass area, which Force India claims is the best in the segment, a 7” touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, albeit an aftermarket unit by Kenwood. The interiors feature captain seats in the second row and a fixed 500-liters of boot space, which beats the Mahindra Thar.
The Force Gurkha is expected to be priced at around Rs.10-15 lakh in India, with the Mahindra Thar being its main rival.
