Ducati Monster SP teased; set to unleash in India on this date. Check details

The most awaited Monster SP performance motorcycle's debut date has been disclosed by Ducati India. The motorbike will be sold in India starting on May 2, 2023, according to the Italian motorcycle manufacturer. Earlier this year, Ducati announced the release of the Monster SP and other bikes, with the former retailing for $15.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The real cost, however, could alter based on currency rates and other variables. On social media, Ducati India teased the launch. The Ducati Monster SP is powered by a 973cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 110 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 93 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle features Ohlins NIX 43 mm USD front forks, a monoshock rear suspension, and top-notch Brembo braking system with 320 mm twin discs with four-piston callipers at the front and a single 245 mm rotor with a two-piston calliper at the rear. Weighing in at 186 kg, the bike has an impressive power-to-weight ratio. Completely built units (CBUs) of this Ducati sports bike with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres will be introduced in India. It competes with other streetfighters on the international market, such the Yamaha MT-09, Triumph Street Triple, Kawasaki Z900, and BMW F 900 R. It is important to note that there are rumours that the MT-09 may return to India later this year.
