Croatian EV powerhouse Rimac takes over Bugatti from VW
Croatian Electric supercar company Rimac Automobilli is set to take over the 112 year old Bugatti brand from Volkswagen. Rimac have built world class electric supercars and their brand new Electric supercar 'nevera' is arguabally the quickest car ever, a tag that the Bugatti's have always held. In this deal, Rimac will own a majority of 55 % stake in the company while VW's Porsche will own the rest. Even tough Porsche owns a stake in Rimac, it will not have a controlling power in Bugatti. Mate Rimac will be leading this new venture which shall be called Bugatti Rimac.
