Jaguar revealed its smallest SUV on July 13, 2017, the E-Pace. The car was based on a modified version of the JLR D8 platform used in the Range Rover Evoque and Landrover Discovery Sport. The E-Pace was available with both front-wheel and all-wheel drive. The car was designed under the direction of Jaguar’s chief designer Ian Callum. Jaguar aimed to take on the likes of the Mercedes Benz GLA, BMW X1 and Audi Q3 with the E-Pace SUV.
