
Asia’s longest high-speed testing track inaugurated in India
Asia’s longest and the fifth-longest high-speed testing track in the world was inaugurated virtually by Union Minister Prakash Javadekar. The 11.3km track is situated in Pithampur town of Indore city in Madhya Pradesh. National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX) will facilitate the measurement of the maximum speed capabilities of high-end cars and other categories of vehicles. The four-lane track is 16m wide and has been designed for neutral speeds up to 250 kmph and a maximum speed of up to 375 kmph on curbs.
